Restoc as a Prediko alternative: a reorder alert, not a planning suite
If you are shopping for a Prediko alternative, the first thing to settle is how much tool you actually want. Restoc does one job: it works out a reorder point per SKU from a sales velocity window you choose and the lead time you enter, then tells you which SKUs have crossed it.
What Restoc is, and why the Prediko column below is thin
Restoc is a reorder-alert app for Shopify stores carrying roughly 50 to 2,000 SKUs. It calculates a reorder point per SKU from a sales velocity window you pick, 7, 14 or 30 days, plus the supplier lead time you enter for that SKU, and then it tells you which SKUs have crossed the line. Plans are $29, $59 and $99 a month, separated by SKU cap, and Shopify bills the subscription on your Shopify invoice rather than taking a separate card payment. That is the product.
What Restoc does not do
No demand forecasting. No purchase orders raised or tracked. No supplier, cost or landed-cost management. One location per store on every plan. Web app only, installed through Shopify OAuth, with no mobile app and no browser extension. If two or three of those are on your list, a broader planning tool is the right shape for your business, and you should know that in the first thirty seconds rather than after a trial.
On prediko
We have not captured Prediko's current positioning, feature list or prices from their own pages. Writing them from memory would be guessing, and a guess about a competitor's product would mislead you, so we have left those cells blank. The middle column of the table is exact and fully ours, and the right-hand column points you at the source. Open their site and their app listing, write the answers down, and bring them back to this table. That is thirty minutes of work and it is the only version of the comparison you can trust.

When to choose which
Choose a broader planning tool
Pick the wider product if you are setting order quantities across several suppliers with different lead times and minimums, if you want a forecast you can argue with before you commit cash, if you need purchase orders raised and tracked in one place, if you run more than one location, or if inventory is a cash-planning exercise months ahead rather than a weekly checklist. Restoc does none of that. No price makes up for a feature that is not there.
Choose Restoc
Pick Restoc if the problem is smaller and more irritating. You already know roughly what to order and who to order it from. What went wrong last quarter is that nobody noticed the best seller was four days from zero until a customer asked. You want one number per SKU, a reorder point, and a nudge the moment it is crossed. You want the weekly list with a suggested quantity next to each line, and a CSV you can attach to the email you send your supplier. You have a few hundred to a couple of thousand SKUs and no appetite for an implementation project.
The trade you are making
Restoc is narrow deliberately. It will not tell you how much to buy for the next quarter, and it will not model your cash. It is built to tell you what is about to run out, every week, without you remembering to look. A planning suite gives you more surface, and more surface means more to configure, more to keep accurate, and more to abandon when the week gets busy. Running out of stock on a good SKU is a real financial hit, so decide honestly which failure is likelier in your shop: a powerful tool nobody finished setting up, or a small tool that answers one question and leaves the rest to you.
Exactly what you get with Restoc
A reorder point per SKU you can explain
Sales velocity over 7, 14 or 30 days, measured against the lead time you enter for that SKU. One calculation, applied the same way to every line, so the number on screen is one you can defend to your supplier. Pro lets you override the window on individual SKUs when one line behaves nothing like the rest of the catalogue.
Alerts when the line is crossed
Email alerts on every plan, fired when a SKU drops through its reorder point. Growth and Pro add Slack through an incoming webhook, so the signal reaches the person who places orders rather than sitting in a report nobody opens.
A weekly reorder list with quantities
Every SKU below its reorder point, with a suggested order quantity beside it. Viewable in the app and exportable as CSV.
Days of inventory remaining, per SKU
The dashboard shows current stock, days of inventory remaining and reorder status for each active SKU, in one list you can scan in a few seconds.
A trial long enough to see the point
60 days free on every plan, set up so at least one full weekly reorder cycle completes before the first charge. You judge the product on a report you actually received.
A price that scales by SKU count, not order volume
$29 up to 200 tracked SKUs, $59 up to 1,000, $99 up to 2,000, with the cap enforced on the server. Yearly billing is ten months' price for twelve, and the charge lands on your Shopify invoice.

How to run the comparison yourself
Whichever way you lean, five questions settle most of these decisions, and you can put them to any app in this category including ours.
- What does the tool do on a SKU with thin or lumpy sales history, and does it still produce a usable number?
- Where does lead time come from: do you type it in, or does the tool assume one?
- Does it alert, or does it only report? A report you have to open is a habit, not a safety net.
- What does it cost at your actual SKU count, on the plan you would really be on?
- How much of your week does it need once it is set up?
Our guide, how to choose a Shopify inventory app when you don't need an ERP, walks the same decision without any vendor in the frame, including where a spreadsheet is genuinely still the right answer. Read that first if you are early in the search and have not shortlisted anything yet. The roundup of the best Shopify inventory apps for a 50 to 2,000 SKU store lays out the field we place ourselves in, and the page on the 60-day free trial explains exactly when the first charge lands.
Questions
Is Restoc cheaper than Prediko?
We are not publishing Prediko's prices because we have not verified them from their own pricing page, and quoting a competitor's price from memory is how comparison pages mislead people. Restoc's prices are fixed and public: $29, $59 and $99 a month, or $290, $590 and $990 a year, with a 60-day free trial on every plan.
Does Restoc forecast demand or raise purchase orders?
No. Restoc calculates a reorder point per SKU, alerts you when a SKU crosses it, and produces a weekly reorder report with suggested quantities. It does not forecast future demand, create purchase orders, or manage suppliers. If you need those, buy a planning tool.
Which plan do I need for Slack alerts?
Growth at $59 a month, or Pro at $99. Starter sends reorder alerts by email. Growth adds Slack through an incoming webhook you configure, alongside email, and Pro includes everything in Growth plus a per-SKU velocity window override.
Can I move my data across from another inventory app?
There is no import from other apps. Restoc installs through Shopify OAuth and reads your inventory levels and sales data from Shopify itself, so the setup you do is entering a lead time per SKU and choosing a velocity window of 7, 14 or 30 days.
Does Restoc handle multiple locations?
Not yet. Every plan covers one location. If your stock sits in two warehouses and you need a reorder point per location, Restoc is not the right fit today, and we would rather say that than sell you a trial.
How many SKUs can Restoc track?
Up to 200 on Starter, 1,000 on Growth and 2,000 on Pro, with the cap enforced on the server. The product is aimed at stores in the 50 to 2,000 SKU range.
How does billing work?
Through Shopify's native billing API, so the subscription appears on your Shopify invoice rather than as a separate card payment. Annual billing is offered as an option, at ten months' price for twelve months, and the 60-day trial runs long enough for one full weekly reorder cycle to complete before the first charge.
Can I use Restoc today?
Not yet. Restoc is on a waitlist while the app is finished, and installs will run through Shopify OAuth when it opens. You sign in with email and password, and the app is hosted on Amazon Web Services.
