Dashboard showing current stock and days of inventory left

The dashboard answers one question per SKU: how much stock is left, and how long it lasts. Restoc lists every active SKU with its current stock, its days of inventory remaining and its reorder status, so you can scan the whole store in a few seconds.

Restoc is not open yet, so anything on this page about what it does is what it is being built to do.

What this article helps with

Use this when you want one view of where your stock stands: what is on hand, how many days of selling that covers, and which SKUs have crossed their reorder point.

It is the screen to open on a Monday morning before you talk to suppliers, and the screen to check after a busy weekend. The dashboard shows current stock, days of inventory remaining and reorder status for each active SKU.

Two numbers you supply drive the rest: the lead time on a SKU and the sales velocity window you choose. Set those, and every other figure on the row follows from your own sales.

Read your dashboard, step by step

  1. Sign in

Sign in with your email address and password. Restoc is a web app, so use a browser on a laptop or desktop.

  2. Connect your Shopify store

Install through Shopify's OAuth flow. Restoc then reads inventory levels and sales data from your store through webhooks plus a scheduled sync job, which is what fills the dashboard rows.

  3. Set a lead time on the SKUs you care about

Enter the number of days your supplier actually takes for that SKU. Lead time is a merchant input, so Restoc uses your figure, not a generic one.

  4. Pick your sales velocity window

Choose 7, 14 or 30 days. A 7-day window reacts fast to a burst of sales. A 30-day window smooths out a spike. The window you pick is the sales history the calculation reads.

  5. Scan current stock and days remaining

Each active SKU shows the units on hand and how many days that covers at its recent rate of sale. Short runways are the rows worth your attention first.

  6. Act on reorder status

A SKU sitting below its reorder point is the signal to place an order. Restoc also fires an alert by email or Slack when a SKU crosses that point, and the weekly reorder report lists the SKUs below it with a suggested order quantity you can export as CSV.

What each figure on a row is built from

FigureWhat it showsWhere the number comes from
Current stockThe units held for that SKUInventory levels read from your Shopify store through webhooks and the scheduled sync job
Days of inventory remainingHow long that stock lasts at the SKU's recent rate of saleSales history across the velocity window you chose, 7, 14 or 30 days
Reorder statusWhether the SKU sits above or below its reorder pointThe reorder point calculated from sales velocity and the lead time you entered for that SKU

If a row does not look right

Work through these in order.

  • Check the store is connected and syncing. Stock figures come from Shopify, so a store that has not synced has nothing fresh to show.
  • Check the velocity window. A SKU that sells in bursts can look calm on a 30-day window and urgent on a 7-day one. Switch the window and read the row again.
  • Check the lead time on that SKU. The reorder point moves with it, so the status flips when the lead time changes.
  • Check your plan's tracked SKU limit. Starter tracks 200 SKUs, Growth 1,000 and Pro 2,000, enforced at sync time.

Still wrong? Email support@restocapp.com with the SKU and what you expected to see, and the team will look at the row with you.

Questions

What does days of inventory remaining actually mean?

It is the current stock for that SKU divided by its recent daily rate of sale, measured across the velocity window you chose. Read it as a runway in selling days, not a promise about any single day.

Why does one SKU show no days remaining?

If a SKU recorded no sales inside your chosen window, there is no rate of sale to divide the stock by, so no runway can be worked out. Widening the window to 30 days often gives slow movers a figure.

Does the dashboard cover every SKU in my store?

It covers your active SKUs, up to the tracked SKU limit on your plan: 200 on Starter, 1,000 on Growth, 2,000 on Pro.

Does the dashboard notify me, or do I have to keep checking it?

You do not have to sit on it. Restoc sends an alert by email, or by Slack webhook on Growth and Pro, when a SKU crosses its reorder point. The dashboard is where you go to see the whole picture rather than a single crossing.

Can I export what the dashboard shows?

The weekly reorder report is the exportable view. It lists the SKUs below their reorder point with a suggested order quantity, viewable in the app and downloadable as CSV.

Can I use the dashboard on my phone?

Restoc is a web app only. There is no mobile app and no browser extension, so use a browser.

Which velocity window should I choose?

Use 7 days for fast movers and items that sell in bursts, where you want the runway to react quickly. Use 30 days for steadier lines, where an unusual week should not drag the reorder point around. 14 days sits between the two.
